Hello, I am Domonique
Have you ever been on the edge of discovery? Where you are between who you were and who you will be and yet not firmly planted on who you are. With aspirations that are so scattered and far away that they seem like unrelated dreams that never sync up.
That’s my story. With a nudge from my family, I began taking steps towards these pursuits It has crossed my mind that this may not be my path or some one may not get it, but hard-headed as ever I’ve pressed forward with the knowledge that no one can understand me before I understand myself and in order to understand myself, I must keep on.

Designing and Styling
SewAfri is the brand I imagined after years of sewing recreationally with my grandmother. As a clothing designer, I have gained more confidence in my work and have begun displaying my clothes in more fashion shows and selling particular pieces online. SewAfri utilizes modern Black-American patterns as well as ankara fabric and Ghanaian ideations to create something that I feel is very close and intimate with me.
